The quote that I decided to put on my gratitude blog has a lot to do with what I am grateful for today. I have had some extreme "kingdoms of night" but I emerged from them with more empathy and gratitude then before. I think that we appreciate what we are grateful for more when we are refined in the fire of adversity.
